A clear path through your separation or divorce
A guided process designed to reduce conflict, save time and cost, and help you move forward with confidence.
How the process works
Every situation is unique, but the process typically follows these steps:
1. Information session
Free online or phone 20 minute session to provide you with general information on separation and divorce and our mediation process.
2. Individual Intake (Pre-Mediation)
Before meeting together, we meet with each of you individually for 45 minutes. This allows us to:
Understand your needs and values
Identify potential challenges
Tailor the process to your situation
This is not a one-size-fits-all approach. We design it to set your family up for success.
3. Joint Mediation Sessions
You come together in a facilitated discussion:
Share information, set goals and find solutions
Based on principles of mutual best interest
Work through key decisions such as parenting plans, asset division, spousal support
The number of sessions depends on:
Complexity
Level of agreement
Willingness to collaborate
The more you agree on, the faster the process moves. Joint mediation sessions are 2 hours; additional sessions may be required.
4. Agreement Review
Once decisions are made:
We prepare your Separation Agreement
Review everything together during a 30 minute Document Review
Ensure clarity before finalizing
These discussions lead to a clear agreement outlining parenting, finances, and next steps.
How long does mediation take?

$2,625 – $5,475 (shared)
Court-based divorces can average:
$24,000 – $90,000+
There is no one-size fits all fee or estimate that can be applied to our mediation process. We charge on an hourly basis for your mediation and will always keep you apprised of the time spent. There are no extra or hidden fees included in your mediation.
